Summer is approaching which means some people may be putting their weight loss plans into action.

You may have heard about Story's unusual weight loss plan which has involved nothing but pies and beers for one month.

It's been pies only for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it's the start of the final week.

The diet may be less crazy than some of the weight-loss schemes Kiwis have been told to try over the years, but how much weight has been lost and what has it done to the body so far?
