An eight-year-old girl has died after being thrown from a ride at the Royal Adelaide Show in Australia.
Authorities said the girl was knocked unconscious when she fell just before 12:30pm local time (3:30pm NZ time).
She was rushed to hospital but Safework SA has since confirmed she has died.
The girl was on the Airmaxx 360 ride, which bounces riders up and down as it spins around.
The ride has been shut down while Safework SA investigates.
The Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society, which runs the Royal Adelaide Show, says it is co-operating with authorities.
