A driver and two child passengers have had a very lucky escape in the United States.
Connecticut police say the driver lost control of the car, crashing into a power pole before flipping into a swimming pool.
The driver left a path of destruction along Route 12 that stretched farther than a football field. The car pulverised a telephone pole, smashed a traffic light control box to pieces and destroyed a guardrail and a fence, at around 1am yesterday (local time).
The engine and other car parts littered the crash scene.
The crash was so loud the homeowner says his house shook and he ran outside to find the car upside down in the pool.
