The cat housing crisis has been solved - with modular cardboard boxes. Startup BoxKitty has developed a system with eight different container types, using double layered cardboard from New Zealand.

The team of designers and cardboard manufacturing specialists fundraised on Indiegogo, and managed to raise more than $15,000.

BoxKitty says the boxes are configurable in an infinite number of ways using a system of removable tabs and different sized holes for your cat to explore.

Whether you want to build a single story dwelling or a giant cat-tower, BoxKitty could be your cat's dream house.
