A Prague zoo is drawing the crowds with a couple of cute new arrivals.

Two baby elephants have gone on show in the Czech Republic's zoo enclosure ' Valley of Elephants', after being born in October.

Members of the public will vote on a name for the younger of the two male elephants, choosing between Hanno, Nandi and Rudolf.

Pavel Brandl, the zoo's curator of mammals, said breeding elephants is something they have been aiming for since the zoo opened 80 years ago.

"The baby elephants are something extraordinary."

He said that the slightly older elephant Max was already over 250kgs, and has been playing a little rough with his newborn friend.

"We even had to separate him and his mother for few days from the newborn but that now is already history."
