An undetermined number of people were injured outside a beauty pageant in Las Vegas on Sunday evening (local time) after a driver ploughed into pedestrians.
It is being reported a woman who had a small child with her drove away before turning herself into security, according to NBC News.
She is believed to have turned herself in at the Tuscany Suites & Casino and underwent a field sobriety test.
Police described the event as a "major incident", and South Las Vegas Blvd, a stretch home to Las Vegas hotels and Planet Hollywood, was closed in both directions.
KSNV reports the driver is in custody and police are investigating if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. They also report more than 30 people were taken to hospitals.
