Fugitive llama pair captured

In a low-speed chase through the streets of Phoenix, Arizona, a helicopter has been used to film two escaped llamas as they time and time-again outwitted their would-be captors.

The animals, one black and one white, evaded authorities in the Sun City retirement community, who tried to block them in with cars and to lasso them with rope.

They were seen crossing busy streets and intersections, avoiding cars and those trying to catch them.

The pair were also seen wandering across manicured lawns and taking brief respite in the shade of trees.

The black llama was captured first, shortly followed by the white.

Little is known about where the fugitive pair came from or how they escaped.
