An American pro-gun advocate launched an aggressive and at times confusing tirade on Piers Morgan’s CNN show today.
Radio host Alex Jones, the man behind a petition to deport Morgan back to Britain, was invited onto the show to discuss gun laws in the United States.
But instead of a discussion, Mr Jones took the opportunity to vent about Megabanks, police drone attacks – and at one point even mimicked Morgan’s accent.
The host barely got a word in as Mr Jones hogged the microphone for more than 14 minutes of the prime time show.
One of the few questions managed by Morgan, comparing America and Great Britain’s firearm fatality rates, appeared to enrage Mr Jones further.
“It doesn’t matter how many lemmings you get out on the street begging for them to have their guns taken, we will not relinquish them, do you understand? That’s why you are going to fail,” said Mr Jones.
“The republic will rise again when you attempt to take our guns. Piers, I’ll take you out shooting, you can become an American and join in the republic.”
The rant continued with Mr Jones digressing to the 911 attacks which he claims were organised by the US Government.
His outburst continued as he started mocking Morgan’s British accent.
“I can speak with this accent as well…I probably own around 50 fire arms, many of them have increased in value two, three, even four times. I sleep very comfortably,” he said in his best impression.
The ordeal finished with Morgan winding up the interview and Mr Jones having a parting shot.
“You’re a foreigner, a red coat, here telling us what to do. Go back to where they took the guns if you don’t like it,” he yelled.
