A Florida man with a deformed skull has been charged with arson and attempted murder after he allegedly set his mattress on fire at his home.
Thirty-one-year-old Carlos Rodriguez was found in his backyard when police arrived.
Two victims, including Rodriguez's mother, Anicia Rodriguez, were inside a duplex connected to the house.
Police allege Rodriguez, who is nicknamed 'Halfy' by his friends, posed a threat to the other occupants.
He appeared in court on Tuesday, and was given a US$20,000 bond.
The Daily Mail reports Rodriguez lost a large part of his brain and skull in a car crash, in which he went through the car's windscreen and landed head-first on the road.
"I was barred out on drugs," he explains in a YouTube video. I was driving, and I hit a pole and flew out the front window and landed on my head."
The man shot to fame in 2012 when he was arrested for allegedly soliciting prostitution, spreading his mugshot around the world.
