Ocean boils as Hawaiian lava hits water

Lava from Hawaii's Kilauea volcano has been slowly flowing towards the Pacific Ocean since May. Now, the 1200 degree Celsius molten rock has finally managed to reach its destination - for the first time in three years.

People are warned not to get too close, as debris is sent flying in the explosive reaction between lava and water. However, a few brave people approached the flow to capture this stunning footage.
