Timor-Leste's Prime Minister Xanana Gusmao took a break from his regular duties yesterday to direct traffic in the country’s capital Dili.
Mr Gusmao stepped out of his car to direct drivers after getting stuck in a traffic jam outside the presidential office, NBC reports.
As a former leader of the militant resistance against Indonesian rule in Timor-Leste, Mr Gusmao became the first president of the country in 2002. He has been prime minister since 2007.
