A fire that killed two people in a basement at the Shanghai Hongqiao airport has been extinguished, China Central Television (CCTV) said on its blog.
CCTV, citing the Shanghai fire department, said four people were also injured in the blaze which started in a pile of underground insulation material.
The People's Daily said on its blog the fire broke out in the basement of terminal one at the airport at around 7am (local time) on Thursday while renovations were being conducted.
