A Queensland woman has given birth to her own grandson.
Theresa Hohenhaus offered to carry her daughter's baby after a childhood battle with leukemia left her with scarring and complications.
The 46-year-old grandmother has had five children herself as well as fostering 50 children over her lifetime.
Daughter Alice's world came crashing down when she was told she couldn't carry her own child, that was before her mother offered to do it for her.
After nine long months, Alice's son Parker was brought into the world weighing a healthy 3.6kg.
Ms Hohenhaus says she's already thinking about doing it again for her daughter.
