Woman poisons co-workers via coffee machine

A woman in Virginia tried to poison her co-workers by pouring cleaning solution into the workplace coffee maker, police say.

Mayda E Rivera-Juarez, 32, allegedly spent several weeks adding toxic liquids into the coffee machine in the break room at freight company JAS Forwarding inc.

With multiple reports of employees suffering diarrhea and digestive problems, the company's boss eventually realized that Ms Rivera-Juarez could be to blame for contaminating the coffee.

He notified the county sheriff, and Rivera-Juarez, who worked at the company's front desk, was arrested and charged with felony assault. Needless to say, she is no longer an employee at the company.

The victims of the coffee spiking have all since made a full recovery.
