"White lives matter. Just white lives."

That's the message being protested by a black woman in the United States who has painted herself white in a video that has gone viral on social media.

Tashala Dangel Geyer, from Florida, filmed the video as a protest against the recent police shootings of black Americans.

She satirically tells viewers that by painting herself she is "saving her life", and advises other black people to do the same.

"If you want to survive, go white… you won't get shot."

The footage was initially removed from both YouTube and Facebook, but has since been uploaded, garnering over 26 million views.

Ms Geyer's video comes after two black men have been shot this past week in the United States, prompting widespread protests.

Facebook have not revealed why they initially chose to remove the clip.
