Q Theatre has been granted resource consent by Auckland City Council to build a mid-sized flexiform theatre space at 305 Queen Street, beside the Auckland Town Hall.
The world-class performing arts venue will give Auckland a multi-use theatre capable of accommodating up to 460 people.
Susanne Ritzenhoff, Q Theatre General Manager, says 'Achieving resource consent marks a huge milestone in the 10 year quest to get this theatre built. We've had a lot of talented people working extremely hard on achieving this goal and it’s a fantastic result, so we’re thrilled!'
