Everlast: Don't jump around

House Of Pain rapper Everlast has launched legal action in a bid to stop a New York party company from using the title of his band's most famous track.

The hip-hop star, real name Erik Schrody, claims the name of inflatables company Jump Around Rentals is an "egregious violation" of his group's 1992 hit 'Jump Around'.

In a lawsuit filed at a New York court, his lawyers request the firm is blocked from trademarking their slogan, "If You Want To Get Down Jump Around".

Bosses at the rental company have hit back, claiming they have already invested significantly in the name, which they suggest has no negative impact on Everlast, according to the New York Post.
