Five years later and the Duckrockers have moved on from their quest to find girlfriends. Now their quest involves hunting for Bolo.

I'm not such a spoilsport that I'm going to tell you why they're looking for Bolo, or why he's hiding from them, but despite the fact Grey Lynn's not that big, he proves a hard man to pin down.

Each of the boys is dealing with the challenges of growing up in their own way with some managing better than others.

Sequels are such a hard beast to tame and for me Sione's 2: Unfinished Business didn't entertain or charm me nearly as much as the first film. The humour, in particular its pace and delivery, and its fresh spirit, failed to fully ignite for a second time.

So it’s a testament to these original characters and their boys-will-be-boys onscreen bond, they all still made me pleased to see them anyway.

Two and half stars.
