The next stage of the X Factor journey took place in Auckland on Wednesday when Boot Camp took over Vector Arena.
More than 10,000 fans filled the arena to watch as judges Willy Moon, Natalia Kills, Stan Walker and Mel Blatt reduced their categories down to six acts each.
It was the first time Boot Camp has taken place in front of a live audience.
The lucky six acts from the categories of boys, girls, over-25s and groups will now go on to the Judges' Retreats, where they will be reduced down to the final line-up for the live shows later this year.
X Factor NZ is scheduled to start on TV3 in February.
