For Coby Yamauchi, gaming is a lifeline.

The American teenager suffers from muscular dystrophy, and it is unknown how many more years he’ll live through – his fate uncertain as his muscles degenerate.

Not knowing how much longer they have with their 15 year old, his parents want Coby's dream to come true.

He plays alongside pros on his setup of 14 TVs and all the snacks a kid could crave and is now making it into tournaments.

“It’s really competitive and I guess I’m really competitive,” he says.

He’s known as cobys2fast on Xbox Live and when other gamers meet him they call him ‘that awesome kid in the wheelchair’.

“Kids come to Coby and ask him for his autograph, how cool is that,” says his father, Ken Yamauchi.

Despite his disability, Coby's found a way to be a star in his own right, following the footsteps of competitors who've turned Xbox into a career.

The teen has the potential to make hundreds of thousands at competitions and prove there is a future in gaming, even when your life comes with limits.
