Jo Edwards will be going for her third Commonwealth Games gold medal on the Gold Coast.

In her fourth Games, reigning women's singles champion Jo Edwards will lead New Zealand's 10-strong bowls contingent. 

She was victorious at Manchester in 2002, competing in the pairs, and at Glasgow four years ago in the singles. She is a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her services to lawn bowls, having represented her country more than 500 times.

On top of that, she has claimed five national singles titles, four Golden Nugget Invitation singles gold and three Kingscliffe Invitational pairs gold. She is currently the women’s world indoor champion.
