Turns out the silly season isn't just Christmas time, it also happens at alert level 1, and especially during the America's Cup.
Level fun - living up to its name in spectacular fashion.
"It's good to be around, it's great to see everyone so happy," one man down at Auckland's waterfront said.
"It's not bad aye, not bad," said another.
"It's good to be out, like out and about with alert level 1," said a woman.
The weather came to the party and so did the punters. It was the biggest day of the America's Cup both on and off the water so far.
