Since debuting with Northern Mystics as an Avondale College schoolgirl, the towering shooter has starred in the ANZ Premiership, where she helped her team to their first title in 2021.
During that season, she set a new competition scoring record, converting 852 goals from 951 attempts and scoring 50 or more goals in 12 games.
That performance thrust her into Silver Ferns consideration and Nweke made her international debut against England. She was nominated as a Halberg Awards Emerging Talent, but lost out to Olympic swim sensation Erika Fairweather.
Nweke was again at the forefront of the Mystics' string start to the ANZ Premiership, but their fortunes fell away late in the season, when their ace shooter suffered an ankle injury that sidelined her through the final rounds and playoffs.
