US-born Harmon has been part of the NZ basketball set-up since 2008, courtesy of her Kiwi mother, and debuted for the Tall Ferns during their 2008 Beijing Olympics campaign.
At the time, she was attending Stanford University, where she played in the 2008 NCAA Division 1 final, losing to Tennessee, and reached the semi-finals the following year.
Harmon has continued to represent her adopted country since, while plying a professional career in Italy and Australia. She captured an Australian WNBL crown with Townsville Fire in 2015 and an Italian Serie A1 title with Le Mura Lucca in 2017.
