Clareburt arrives at Birmingham, after reaching both individual medley finals at the Tokyo Olympics and at the recent world championships, where he placed fourth in the longer distance.
Four years ago, he took bronze over 400m at the Gold Coast Commonwealth and also at the world championships the following year.
