Ben Affleck received an invaluable tip about playing Batman from fellow superhero actor Christian Bale, who advised him to make sure the famous outfit did not affect his bathroom visits.
Affleck made his first public appearance since announcing his split from wife Jennifer Garner by attending the DC Comics panel at Comic-Con in San Diego, California on Saturday to promote the highly-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, in which he stars as the Caped Crusader.
He joined co-stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and Jesse Eisenberg to debut new footage from the Man of Steel sequel, and during the chat, Affleck told fans he had bumped into Bale at a costume store in Los Angeles and the former Batman star offered up a helpful piece of advice.
Affleck said, "It was pretty empty, and I was in the aisle and I hear, 'Oi...' I turned around and it's Christian Bale. And there he and I are standing in the Batman costume (aisle). I said, 'Look man, you know, you're the best. Like, what do you think? You got any tips?' He says, 'Make sure you can piss through that suit.'"
Bale played Batman in Christopher Nolan's three Dark Knight superhero movies, from 2005 to 2012.
