Lorde joins Taylor Swift on stage

Taylor Swift thrilled fans today by bringing out Lorde on stage to perform 'Royals'.

Swift announced the Kiwi pop star as one of her best friends "in the entire world" as they performed together at the latest stop on the 1989 World Tour in Washington, DC. The 'Royals' singer flew 19 hours for a surprise guest appearance.

This isn't the first time Swift has brought out a famous BFF at one of her shows. Just last week, she was joined on stage by pals Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge and Karlie Kloss in New Jersey.

Lorde previously said that Swift had brought her into an "amazing world of supportive female friendship" during an interview with Lena Dunham for Dazed Magazine earlier this year. Dunham herself is part of Swift's glamorous social circle.
