Lorde, Tom Waits and Kesha are among the stars who have signed up to judge a prestigious songwriting contest.
The judging panel for the 2015 edition of the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) also includes Boyz II Men, Moby, Sara Evans, Bastille and Avicii, as well as a host of music industry executives.
The competition, which was created in 2002, will see a total of 68 winners spanning a wide variety of categories. The official site says, “The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) is an annual song contest whose mission is to provide the opportunity for both aspiring and established songwriters to have their songs heard in a professional, international arena. ISC is designed to nurture the musical talent of songwriters on all levels and promote excellence in the art of songwriting.”
The judges will pick the winner of 2015's Grand Prize, while other artists will also be handed cash and services to give them a career boost.
Last year's winner was Vance Joy with his huge hit 'Riptide', earning him US$25,000 cash and US$30,000 in merchandise and services. The Australian singer/songwriter is currently opening for Taylor Swift on her 1989 World Tour. Other previous honourees include Passenger, Bastille, Gotye and The Band Perry.
The 2015 winner will be announced in April.
