The first footage of Suicide Squad has been unveiled.
Warner Bros officially released the trailer after a leaked bootleg, filmed at Comic-Con over the weekend, hit the internet.
"Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed," says Warner Bros' marketing chief Sue Kroll.
"We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic-Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation."
The trailer includes looks at Jared Leto's take on the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
Suicide Squad, which follows a group of DC Comics supervillains, was directed by David Ayer and is set to open in August.
