Cilla Black autopsy inconclusive

Cilla Black (AAP)

An autopsy on singer/TV presenter Cilla Black has failed to determine why she died on the weekend.

A post-mortem examination has concluded her death was "not suspicious" but "inconclusive".

Spanish locals believe the star may have died after waking from an afternoon nap at her villa. Moving from the air-conditioned home into the outside heat may have caused dizziness, resulting in Black falling over and suffering injuries.

Further tests have been ordered, including tests on organ and tissue samples taken from the star after her death on Saturday.

The samples will be sent to a specialist lab in the southern Spanish city of Seville.

Officials from the court heading the probe into Cillas death could not be reached for comment.
