Emma Bunton dismisses Spice Girls reunion rumour

Emma Bunton has shrugged off a report suggesting the Spice Girls are reforming for a 20th anniversary tour, insisting "nothing's happening" with the band.

According to a report in Britain's The Sun newspaper, Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown are set to reunite for a tour in 2016 to celebrate 20 years since their debut single 'Wannabe', but their band mate Victoria Beckham will not be involved as she is too busy with her work as a fashion designer.

However, Bunton apparently dismissed the rumour during her breakfast radio show for Britain's Heart FM on Friday, confessing there have been talks about a celebration but nothing is official.

She says, "If anything happens and it's concrete, and we decide on something, I will let you know, but nothing's happening at the moment."

Her band mate Chisholm, known as Sporty Spice during their heyday, seemed confused by the report, writing on Twitter

Bunton, nicknamed Baby Spice, reposted the message and added

Beckham also posted an old picture of a Spice Girls photo album and added in the caption, "Love my Spice Girls."

Chisholm recently denied a similar reunion report, telling Britain's The Sun newspaper last month that she was too busy working on her seventh solo record.
