Lorde has shown her support for Eat My Lunch, a lunch delivery programme that helps Kiwi kids in need.

The project was founded by Lisa King with the help of award-winning chef Michael Meredith and works on a "buy-one give-one" basis. For every lunch bought on their website, a lunch is given to a child in need.

"A really appalling one in four kids are living in poverty and going to school without lunch," Lorde wrote on Instagram with a link to Eat My Lunch.

"It makes me wanna cry thinking about kids who can't eat at school."

Now the service has added the option to donate two lunches, instead of eating one yourself.

"This week, I'm sponsoring Te Papapa school in Onehunga for all the lunches that they need, and I've also subscribed to GIVE TWO as their first subscriber," says the ‘Royals’ singer.
