With less than a month until its release, Konami has released a new trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, offering further story tidbits and new gameplay footage.
The trailer describes The Phantom Pain as "the end of an era" - presumably, a reference to the wrapping up of the Naked Snake / Big Boss storyline, but possibly also to this being Hideo Kojima's last Metal Gear game and his rumoured departure from Konami once its complete.
"Peace came with a price. But some wars don't end until someone is dead," the clip continues. "This is not about justice. This is about revenge."
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is set for release on September 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, and later in the month for PC.
It follows on from Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, a standalone prologue that came out last year.
