Street Fighter V reveals New Zealand-based stage

Ryu and Chun-Li battle in New Zealand in Street Fighter V

Capcom has released details about the upcoming Street Fighter V beta test, including screenshots of a new stage that's based on New Zealand.

The Forgotten Waterfall stage is set against a backdrop of a lake surrounded by mountains and trees, with a herd of sheep grazing near the water's edge. The two screenshots also show what appear to be a pūkeko and a tuatara.

The Forgotten Waterfall is one of three stages that will be featured in the beta test, the others being Bustling Side Street (China) and Terminal Station (London). All six currently-confirmed characters (Ryu, Chun-Li, Nash, M. Bison, Birdie, and Cammy) will be present during the beta, though the latter two will be locked initially so that Capcom can test out a new content delivery system.

The beta test is exclusive to PlayStation 4 and runs for five days starting from 1pm on Friday, July 24.

Players wanting to participate can register online. The selected participants will get an email on July 24 with instructions for accessing the beta client.
