Allison Road may deliver for Silent Hills fans

Allison Road still

A Kickstarter campaign has been launched which should interest fans of Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima's cancelled Silent Hills game.

Allison Road promises a narrative-driven horror set in a house that incrementally descends into a hellscape as the player explores the environment. It has been compared to P.T. and indie hit Gone Home.

Described as having an emphasis on immersion and displayed in an almost photo-realistic world for players to explore and interact with, Allison Road gained popularity after a small prototype was posted online around the same time as Silent Hills' cancellation.

Following its positive reception, creator Chris Kesler employed a team of developers, started a studio called Lilith, and began working to make the game into a bigger project.

Lilith hopes to raise £250,000 to finish Allison Road, planning to release it in late 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
