Taylor Swift sued over bum-grab story

Taylor Swift has been hit with a lawsuit from a DJ who alleges he was falsely accused of groping the singer in 2013.

David Mueller, who worked as a radio host in Denver, Colorado, attended a concert by the pop star with his girlfriend, and they were invited backstage where they got a photograph with the 'Bad Blood' hitmaker.

Mueller claims he was later kicked out of the venue by the singer's security staff after they accused him of "grabbing her butt" when the snap was taken, and the incident led to him being fired from his job, according to TMZ.

Swift said the DJ lifted her skirt and "grabbed her bottom" while the photo was being taken, according to US District Court documents lodged last week. The singer's security team stepped in following her accusations and threw Mueller and his girlfriend, Shannon Melcher, out of the concert.

TMZ reports Mueller, who maintains he never inappropriately touched Swift, is now suing Swift for lost wages - believed to be about US$150,000 a year.
