Video diary becomes Dunedin art exhibition

An art exhibition that doubles as a massive travel diary has opened at Dunedin's Public Art Gallery.

Auckland-based Korean artist Jae Hoon Lee spent months camping out in remote locations to capture a selection of breath taking landscapes.

His exhibition, 'Stranger in a Strange Land', features images he took in Indonesia and New Zealand, projected onto giant video walls.

"It features around two years of travel experience in different geographic locations. […] So this can be my kind of diary, kind of photo album," he says.

Mr Lee says the large video installations allow viewers to share in his travel experiences.

The exhibition continues right through until February in Dunedin.
