Hollywood's red carpet has fired up with all of the hottest stars for the world premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
It's the seventh film of the Star Wars saga and displays a welcome return of familiar faces, such as crowd-favourite Harrison Ford, as well as some new ones.
While the stars arrived, the fans were buzzing.
Security is tighter than the Oscars – with the strong police 'force' poised for any 'disturbance', and even the pedestrians outside the security zone were fully screened.
The tent stretches an entire block of Hollywood Boulevard, spanning three theatres. At one location there are 3000 fans – the other two have another 1000 each.
Next door, the fans camped outside for a week, waiting for this day to finally dawn.
