When combined with their first place prize, the couple came out with winnings of $290,000.

"It's insane," says Mitch. "Everyone here kicked ass… it was everyone's dream result."

As the hammers went down each team made more than $100,000 in profit.

Taranaki couple Cat and Jeremy narrowly missed out on the grand prize. Their house sold for $1.32 million.

They were also voted People's Choice and drove away with a cool $160,000 profit in a new car.

"It was definitely the craziest 10 weeks of our lives. I'd do it again in a heartbeat," says Cat.

It certainly became a competition where there were prizes for everyone.

Jamie and Hayden walked away with a profit of $160,000 after their home sold for $1.335 million.

"We were just a young, humble couple with a big idea and to take that to the world and show everyone that it's OK to be different is just the most humbling, beautiful feeling," says Hayden.

Even Hamilton sisters Sarah and Minanne managed to pick up a cool profit of $123,000.
