Hugh Jackman had a surprise interview during his junket for new film Eddie the Eagle this week, when pal and X-Men Origins: Wolverine co-star Ryan Reynolds joined him for a chat.
Confessing it was his first interview as the man with all the questions, Reynolds began grilling Jackman about his acting skills, drug use and his new film, which he clearly hadn't seen, even though he told the Aussie he had.
Reynolds pretended to be confused about his friend's character in the film, asking him if he played the titular Eddie.
Jackman actually portrays coach Bronson Peary in the movie about much-maligned English ski jumper Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards.
Reynolds also asked, "Do you ever age?" to which his friend replied, "Not since 2008!"
The Green Lantern star also read out a question from his wife Blake Lively.
He asked, "Are we still meeting at the Gansevoort Hotel this afternoon? I don't have much time because Ryan's having a mani-pedi (manicure-pedicure) from three to four."
The interviewer ended the chat, which has been posted online, by handing Jackman a knife and urging him to deliver fellow Aussie actor Paul Hogan's famous Crocodile Dundee 2 line, "That's not a knife, this is a knife!"
Jackman and his Wolverine character is a punchline throughout Ryan's hit new movie Deadpool, and in one pivotal scene, the actor's titular character wears a Hugh Jackman mask to hide his burned face.
Jackman's new film, which also features Kingsman: The Secret Service star Taron Egerton as Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards, is released in America at the end of the month.
