If you were anywhere near a television or radio in the late 90s then you'll be familiar with the band TrueBliss.

Now, the Kiwi girl band is getting back together for Auckland's Pride Parade this weekend.

Megan Alatini, Keri Harper, Joe Cotton and Erika Takacs say they are excited to show their support for the LGBTIQ community in New Zealand.

"We are a close group of girls who love performing together, but more so when there's a great cause or project which is why we jumped at the chance when approached for Pride. To be honest, I would've been at the Pride Parade as a spectator and supporter anyway," Alatini says.

The fifth member of the group, Carly Binding, is unavailable for the reunion.

Alatini says not only are family members of hers are part of the LGBTIQ community, but many of TrueBliss' biggest fans are too. She wants to see complete equality reached in this country.

"I'm not going to be a silent bystander and see that continue. No. I will shout in support from the top of my lungs, Alatini says.

The theme for the 2016 Auckland Pride Parade is Stories, Myths and Legends, and TrueBliss are, to many, legends of the music industry.

They were formed on the reality show Popstars in 1999 -- a television format that was sold around the world, and gave birth to the talent machine that is X Factor.

The Auckland Pride Parade takes places on Ponsonby Rd this Saturday at 6pm.
