Last night, 323,000 people tuned in to watch as Catherine missed out on a rose and was eliminated from The Bachelor NZ, after just a week in the Bachelor house.
"I'm still a bit confused and I'm disappointed I didn't get a rose," says the 26-year-old beauty therapist from West Auckland. "Jordan and I had a good conversation, but I don't know why he sent me home. Obviously he knows who he sees in his future."
Catherine says she was looking for a real romance when she applied for the show.
"I'm looking for true love so it prompted me to apply, because the bachelor is also looking for genuine love."
Catherine was already a fan of The Bachelor shows and says her family supported her decision to apply -- her mum had even encouraged her to take part.
And while she says she enjoyed her brief encounters with 32-year-old Jordan Mauger, she regrets not having more time with him.
"I felt that I had a connection with him and he did want to speak with me more, but I'm just disappointed I got sent home."
Whisked away straight after the rose ceremony, Catherine says she is still trying to figure out what went wrong.
"It would've been nice to get a bit of closure in terms of why he sent me home, or at least a little bit more time to say goodbye. It was very quick."

Now she's looking forward to the reunion episode to ask him why she was the first to go.
"I'd like to know why he sent me home. It's kind of scary to ask -- it's like you want to know and then the more you think about it, it's better to just not know."
Catherine only has nice things to say about her Bachelor rivals, despite Naz taking Mauger aside in last night's episode to warn him about one of the other contestants, Anna.
That didn't affect 32-year-old Mauger's decision though - he "took it with a grain of salt", and sent Catherine home instead.
That leaves 22 women vying for his affections - including 25-year-old landscaper Naz, who viewers are already comparing to last year's 'mean girl' Chrystal Chenery.
The next episode of The Bachelor screens on Monday 14 March.
