Last week the season two New Zealand bachelor, Jordan Mauger, sent Amanda and Claudia packing -- the pair waving goodbye to their dream of finding love on reality TV.
This week, the remaining contestants were also told to pack their bags -- about to embark on the first overseas journey in this season's The Bachelor NZ.
As the girls squealed with delight about their Hawaiian adventure, date card reader Danielle teased Ceri by pretending her name wasn't on the paper, meaning she wouldn't be joining the trip.
Mauger said his motive behind the trip was to see the girls outside their comfort zone, as travelling is one of his passions -- because we've all heard Hawaii is very uncomfortable, right?
The girls were greeted with another date card as soon as they arrived in their Hawaiian mansion -- however only one of the girls got to go.
Ceri was the lucky recipient and set her sights high, quite literally, anticipating a helicopter ride to make up for her lack of date thus far in the competition.
And despite visions of romantic beach walks in the tropical surrounds, the weather wasn't playing ball and the pair were greeted massive wind gusts and spats of rain -- but this just meant Mauger could impress her by being chivalrous and lending her his jacket. Bonus points: tick.
Her wish was then granted; the bachelor surprised her with a helicopter trip across Hawaii, complete with cheesy lines and a spot of whale-watching.
And without missing a beat, he pulled out a rose, which she of course accepted. But there was no kiss -- Ceri said she's not the kind of girl to kiss on the first date.
Then it was the group date, which only a handful of the ladies got to on.
Mauger teamed the girls against each other in a paddling race in the hopes there might be some one-on-one time as a reward for taking out the other team.
Alicia was chosen to spend some alone time with him on the tropical island; she'd never even left the North Island before, let alone the country.
But the weather fined up for the lovebirds, and they exchanged pleasantries and got along before a slow-mo dip in the lagoon.
Meanwhile, back at the house, Naz apologised for her outburst the week before, must to Ceri's surprise.
However, it wasn't as innocent as it might seem as Naz announced "she's always got a game plan".
Fleur was whisked away first at the cocktail party by Mauger, but it wasn't long before the two were interrupted by Kate who wanted to know if her feelings for Jordan were reciprocated.
This was well-received by Mauger, who suspected some of the girls were still in party mode and not here for the right reasons.
This continued throughout the evening as all the girls cottoned on they needed to make their intentions clear.
"This isn't a party anymore. This is about winning my heart."
However, the girls that didn't make their intentions clear were duly noted by Mauger.
Danielle, who earlier in the episode said she was waiting until the next day to proposition the bachelor, fell victim to her oversight and was the one Mauger chose to send back to New Zealand, and out of the competition.
