The Bachelor NZ's Amanda looks back at what could have been

Amanda was sent on her way last night (TV3)

After the sad news of her departure from The Bachelor NZ house last night, Amanda spoke to Newshub this morning about how she’s feeling.

Amanda didn’t get much one-on-one time with Jordan -- something she feels didn't help her chances.

"I think it’s hard to be yourself around someone you don't really know along with everything else that's going on and that can only grow and form from quality time together. It takes time for me to come out of my shell, but unfortunately time wasn't on my side."

Being a quiet person, Amanda was challenged by the group dates.  She’s more likely to sit back and listen to conversation than jump forward and try and lead the way.

In terms of what she’s looking for in love, life and relationships, Amanda knows for sure she wants someone who will actually take the time to get to know her.

She’s also a fan of a good sense of humour, kindness and thoughtfulness.

Before our phone call was over, I had to ask her one thing. The question we are all desperate to know the answer to.

What is Naz really like?

"Naz and I are quite good friends, I got on really well with her and have nothing negative to say, notice I wasn't on her hit list...phew!"

For the record, Amanda thinks Fleur is the top contender to end up with Jordan at the end of the series.

Until then though, she will be sitting down like the rest of us watching the next girl go home this evening.
