Episode four opened with host Mike Puru declaring it was all-out war among the contestants, and viewers waiting to see who'd be next on bachelorette Naz's hit list.
A target was put on Shari's back early on after she was selected for the single date - much to her delight. The 24-year-old early childhood teacher had been vocal about her frustration at not getting enough time with bachelor Jordan Mauger.
The pair visited an art gallery -- and at times Shari seemed almost as uncomfortable there as Sarah did on the wakeboard in the first single date of the season.
But that didn't seem to bother Mauger, who wined and dined her in a private room before presenting her with a diamond necklace.
She was grilled the next morning by her envious fellow contestants, who were pleased to realise she didn't receive a kiss or a rose -- so wasn't exempt from elimination.
The combat theme continued on the group date to play paintball.
Team captains Naz and Kate strategically chose teams to pit against each other, but it was doctor Lindsey who proved the best shot.
Massuese Erin was the overall winner though, getting some one-on-one time with 32-year-old Mauger
They drank champagne at Butterfly Creek before feeding some Tamarin monkeys, but Erin didn't get a rose either.
That made it the first rose ceremony to begin without any of the bachelorettes safe from elimination.
The cocktail party got off to a shaky start when Mauger overheard student teacher Ceri complaining about not having been on a date. Nicole gave Naz a reason to move her up the now-infamous 'hit list' and Lara propositioned the bachelor with a number of awkward questions, including cheekily asking for a rose. Her wish wasn't granted.
Naz's attempts to cross a few more names off her list backfired when Mauger told her he wasn't really interested in her tattling on the other contestants.
As a result, Naz was third-to-last to receive a rose.
But it was 32-year-old Lindsey who didn't receive a rose, which wasn't much of a surprise. She had herself said she didn't feel much chemistry or a connection between them.
