Metz
The 28-year-old Samoan beauty has already won the hearts of the girls in the house and appears to be a Twitter favourite.
She’s an aspiring actress and has described her dream man to be hardworking but shower-loving.
During episode two there were rumours she wasn’t into Jordan and wanted to go home. But after taking him aside and telling him she wanted to get to know him, she asked where he got his tanned complexion from to make sure they weren’t cousins.
Naz
After just two episodes, Twitter has dubbed her this season’s Chystal Chennery.
The Christchurch landscaper described herself as someone who doesn’t like drama. But after last night’s episode viewers were left wondering how true that statement was when she took Jordan aside to tell him something that she had heard the WildCard contestant Anna say.
The 25-year-old has reiterated that “she’s there for Jordan”.
Sarah
Sarah was the first to get a single date with the Bachelor where she was taken out on her first ever wakeboarding adventure.
Viewers were left wondering whether or not the 30-year-old would ever get on her feet or if she’d be perpetually flailing around in the water.
But she got there and a kiss to boot.
Anna
The winner of the More FM Wild Card competition-- Anna -- has already caused drama in the house by supposedly saying she could pick up someone like Jordan “in a club any night of the week”.
That line by the 29-year-old ruffled a few feathers, but when the Bachelor was informed, he took it with a grain of salt.
The Nelson born nanny learned of her participation just before Christmas last year.
Erin
The wide-eyed blonde hasn’t got too much screen time yet, but what we do know is that she was a masseuse on a superyacht and she’s a big fan of sharks.
Ceri
Her name’s pronounced Kerry, she aptly brought along a bottle of Keri juice to help explain.
The tall blonde (179cm!) is studying to be a teacher and has dabbled in beauty pageants.
The 24-year-old was the first to arrive at the mansion and meet the Bachelor...
Will she follow in last year’s winner’s, Matilda, footsteps and be the first to arrive, last to leave?
Fleur
This 24-year-old secured a spot on the group date and managed to secure not just one but two lots of one-on-one time during the beach outing -- much to her delight. Not so much to the rest of the group’s when he not-so-secretly held a rose to give her behind his back.
She was the first to shed a tear, or many, when she heard the rumour the Metz was going to tell Jordan she wanted to go home (which she didn’t).
Shari
The one who “doesn’t know what her name means” approached Jordan during another contestant’s one-on-one time, trying to squeeze in on the Bachelor, and failed. But she still got a rose, so not all hope is lost.
The 24-year-old revealed she has a webbed toe before the show aired, and is hoping to find a husband.
Alicia
The one with all the pets, 20 to be exact. Thank goodness she’s not a city slicker, instead residing in Te Awamutu.
The 24-year-old early childhood teacher has already been dubbed by Twitter as the “crazy cat lady”, but some more screen time will be needed to cement that judgement.
Gab
The 29-year-old from Kerikeri is another who is yet to see much screentime, but the marketing manager managed to secure a rose, and at least at three episodes so she must be doing something right.
Claudia
The 29-year-old arrived and greeted Jordan with a homemade bag of bliss balls… perhaps confusing him with last year’s Paleo advocate Art Green?
The brunette has seemingly teamed up with nouveau -Chystal , Naz, and was part of the plan to sabotage Anna, but wasn’t successful.
She’s been a model since she was five, so she says, and and dabbles in blogging, travelling and designing dresses -- three of which Paris Hilton has bought.
Storm
Ceri bought the juice, but Storm didn’t bring a teacup! What a missed beverage-related pun opportunity.
However, this placid 24-year-old doesn’t live up to her name. At least so far, though she does consider herself as outgoing.
The travel consultant has a long-standing feud with bananas; she doesn’t even like being near them let alone eating them.
Kate
The token gluten-free girl got a giggle from the Bach, the other contestants and viewers alike when advised by Jordan to eat the right sausage, she saw the opportunity to make a size joke.
After the first episode, the 28-year-old garnered a lot of Twitter popularity, possibly for her role at a very popular unnamed women’s magazine.
Rebecca
Twitter has already labelled another contestant as the crazy cat lady, but she’s got some competition in the way of 33-year-old Rebecca, who’s a self-confessed cat lover.
She’s also a self-described film nut, who attempted to charm Jordan with a Star Wars quote upon first meeting, which clearly worked as she received the first rose.
Lara
Viewers winced a little when she wedged herself in between Ceri and Jordan’s one on one time smack bang in the middle of an intimate conversation, but that didn’t seem to stop the 27-year-old becoming a fan favourite. Twitter-experts are picking her to make it through to the top three.
Nicole
Strong and silent or straight-up shy? 24-year-old Nicole has yet to have too much of an impact on the show but has made enough of an impression to make it through two rose ceremonies.
The mysterious Hamilton vet already has a couple of Twitter backers so will be one to watch.
Amanda
The one with the permanent marker on her hand. We’re not sure if she was worried she’d forget her name or if Jordan was but it made her stand out during the first episode.
Without gaining very attention other than that over the course of the rest of the episode or the sequel, let’s hope the sporty 28-year-old Waikanae blonde doesn’t accidentally flush anything untoward down the toilet during the season (she almost flushed her pet bird once).
Danielle
Crossfit loving Danielle made for good yet awkward TV when she displayed her very empty ring finger out of the blue in her diary cam.
The 26-year-old volunteer firefighter is also not a bad fisherwoman, having reeled in a 103kg Marlon.
Lindsey
Is there a doctor in the house? Yes, yes there is and an American one at that. But does it excuse when she cringingly brought out a stethoscope to listen to Jordan’s heartbeat? No, no it doesn’t.
Somehow this didn’t deter the Swedish-speaking aspiring obstetrician.
ELIMINATED:
Freya
She didn’t bring a prop to meet the Bachelor, but she did try to bring a funky (read: awkward) handshake.
This clearly didn’t impress Jordan, as she didn’t receive a rose on the first night.
Emily-Rose
Jordan said "First thing I noticed about Emily was how striking her eyes are", but this wasn’t enough to save the 33-year-old from being sent home on night one.
Harmony
This Papakura chick seemed to make an impression when she hit the champagne hard. And then Jordan with a pillow. But that’s about all she did, and unsurprisingly was eliminated on the first night.
Catherine
The long-time Bachelor fan was devastated to be sent home, she said she had felt a connection after only a couple of conversations with Jordan.
She was among one of the four that didn’t get picked to go on the group date and ultimately missed out on the rose at the second ceremony.
