David Hasselhoff has confirmed his appearance in the upcoming film version of the much-loved 90s TV show Baywatch.
The actor, who portrayed Mitch Buchannon in the series, officially announced he will be involved in the film adaptation with the help of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
Dwayne posted a video on Facebook and Instagram which showed him having a FaceTime conversation with David on his cell phone. He asks David, "Hey listen I don't know if the world is ready for both of us. Are you ready?"
David replies: "Come on, man. Rocking the Hoff. I was born ready".
In the caption, Dwayne explains how supportive David has been of the new movie, even after he was informed it would be an R rated film, meaning it is not suitable for those aged under 17 in the U.S., and it would be a mix of "Avengers meets Anchorman".
It is not known what part David will play as Dwayne has taken on the Mitch Buchannon role. Zac Efron and Priyanka Chopra also star.
Former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson is still unsure whether she should appear in the film. She recently told Harper's Bazaar magazine, "I don't know. I don't like remakes of TV shows and I kind of want to leave it as is and be remembered for that".
