Beyonce fans attack wrong Rachel over affair rumours

The drop of Lemonade, Beyonce's new album, has started a social media firestorm over the state of her marriage to Jay Z.

Fans have been quick to attack the woman referred to in the lyric: "Becky with the good hair" from the song 'Sorry' -- who it's believed refers to the person Jay Z supposedly cheated with.

Fashion designer Rachel Roy is widely thought to be "Becky" after previously being linked to rumours of an affair with Jay Z in 2014.

Many tabloids reported she was the reason Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles attacked him in an elevator.

Roy added fuel to the rumours after she posted on her Instagram -- just hours after Lemonade was released -- a photo with the caption: "Good hair don't care, but we will take good lighting for selfies, or self truths, always live in the light #nodramaqueens."

However, many fans -- perhaps blinded by anger -- took to their keyboards and have been attacking popular cooking show host Rachael Ray. But it turns out one small typo can make a huge difference.

The small spelling difference has led to both women's Instagram pages being inundated with emojis of bees and honey, a reference to Queen Bey's fanbase "The Bey Hive".

Roy has since made her Instagram account private leading some on twitter to joke about the situation.

It seems it won't be a surprise if Jay Z comes home to find all his stuff in a box to the left.
