Dad blogger Photoshops baby into adult activities

The internet loves new dad Matt Coyne's baby photos, but his partner may be a little less enthusiastic.

Matt Coyne blogs from the "frontline" of parenting. He's father to a young baby, and his partner has just returned to work after taking maternity leave, leaving Mr Coyne in charge of little Charlie.

The new dad decided to have a bit of fun when asked for an update on how the pair were getting on.

The caption on his Facebook post reads: "Tough week. Charlie's mum's maternity leave ended. So the person in our house who prevents fires etc. returned to work.. Whilst I found myself looking after our little boy properly on my own..

"Its true to say that as Lyns walked out the door that first morning there was quite a few tears, sobbing, and protest-soiling.. but, in my defence, by lunchtime I had calmed down a bit [sic].

"Anyway, to alleviate Lyns' concerns about leaving Charlie in the care of a f**kwit, I promised to keep in touch..."

Another of Mr Coyne's posts was shared widely across Facebook in April. The post outlined a few things he'd learned while holidaying with a "tiny human."

Mr Coyne wrote: "We had a checklist for what to pack, it had just one item on it:.. 'Everything'"

He also wrote that "when airlines say they have 'baby changing facilities' what they actually mean is: 'a shelf'."

The post concludes that, "For all its pissy little challenges, to spend time together, away from our newly destroyed home, was incredibly special."

It clearly struck a chord -- the post was shared more than 17,000 times.
