1000-piece band makes Bowie's 'Rebel Rebel' bigger, louder

Self-proclaimed "biggest band on earth" Rockin'1000 - a rock band featuring 1000 members -  performed its version of David Bowie's 'Rebel Rebel' in Italy in an "incredible" live show.

The band is split into crews of bassists, singers, drummers and keyboardists. They play together of a volunteer basis.

The group's founder Fabio Zaffagnini told the crowd, they "are the revolution", Rolling Stone reported.

"Musicians from all over the world came together and are giving us an incredible live show. They're just like themselves, but they perform like rock stars, with no one standing out, showing us that with passion, dedication and f***ing hard work, we can transform our lives. So stick together, no more conflicts and play rock n' roll," Zaffagnini said.

Last year the group performed Foo Fighters' 'Learning to Fly', which went viral.
